Tammy Allison: Owning Her Passion
My recent interview with Attorney at Law Magazine left no stone unturned. We discussed my childhood, law school, my experience at DOJ, and my entrepreneurial ventures.
At the heart of it all, we talked about why I was drawn to public service. When i first accepted my role within the Department of Justice, I couldn't fully articulate why I felt called to serve my community. It wasn't until years later that I was able to identify the driving force behind the decisions that had guided my path.
"My goal was to be a voice for the voiceless in one capacity by being someone in a position of power to bring my culture and personal experiences to the table, to hopefully offer additional insight as to why some people who may also share my culture and personal experiences find themselves in certain predicaments, mainly the criminal justice system."
It truly enjoyed being interviewed for this piece, and I hope you enjoy reading it just as much! You can find the full article here.
